Learn MoreOur mission is to provide accommodation to every single child who comes to Mumbai for cancer treatment thereby ensuring zero abandonment due to lack of accommodation.
Learn MoreThe Accommodation Project provides free accommodation to the child and the family during the child's cancer treatment. They are put up in Dharamshalas surrounding the Tata Memorial hospital.
Learn MoreThe Survivor Project works towards regular testing and rehabilitation of children who beat cancer, not only reducing the recovery period but also ensuring lesser relapse cases by timely testing.

Make a DonationThe Helping Hands Foundation is the only NGO working with Tata Memorial Hospital providing free accommodation to children staying on the footpaths and we are currently supporting more than 50 families per month.
An in-depth study and research done in 2012 by the Tata Memorial Hospital found that approximately more than 60% of the cancer affected children abandon their treatment mainly due to lack of hygienic accommodation.
Apart from preventing infections and expediting treatment, the accommodation we provide also keeps the families together during such difficult times and this has exponentially reduced the rate of abandonment.
Only 2 of 10 children survive Cancer in India compared to 8 out of 10 children worldwide. We are striving to improve this and also take it further by helping the children become productive citizens in society post treatment.
The Helping Hands Foundation started as a CAS Project by IB Students from Ecole Mondiale World School. The Helping Hands Foundation is a voluntary organization and is always in need of your help. While we have our trustees and sponsors, we still need volunteers to help us execute our plans. If you would like to dedicate some of your time to helping others, feel free to get in touch with us.
