This campaign aims to help provide healthy mid-day meals to young cancer patients at the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) in Mumbai and help them fight and survive cancer. This is in partnership with the NGO -Helping Hands Foundation India. www.helpinghandsindia.in
Did you know that 80% of the children coming to Tata Memorial Hospital for cancer treatment are from low-income homes? Almost half (50%) of them are severely malnourished. These children have higher rates of infection, poor wound healing and a lower chance of winning the battle against cancer. Good food is a critical element for them to beat Cancer.
The mid-day meal is nutritious, tasty and wholesome. Each meal costs just INR 180 and is sufficient for the child and a parent. The food is cooked in the Taj Sats kitchen under the guidance of nutritionists. Approx 220 meals are served every day at the OPD department at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. It takes INR 9L to run this program for a month. This campaign aims to fund the program for at least 6 months and ideally for an entire year.
If you fund INR 20000, you help provide 110 meals. INR 40000 helps serve 220 meals and INR 4.5 L funds the program for fifteen days.
Please support this campaign and donate with a Credit/Debit card, Wallets, Net-banking, UPI, etc. This campaign has 80G tax benefits as Helping Hands is a registered NGO. You will also get feedback on how the funds are spent.
